We are on the Star Legend out of Athens in the fall. How far away is the pier from downtown and does the subway go to the pier? TIA

You are actually on the Star Legend out of PIRAEUS in the fall.

There are many piers in Piraeus Harbor, as it is the largest harbor complex in the Mediterranean.

Downtown Athens is about 12 Kilometers from downtown Piraeus. The drive can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

One of the Athens subway lines goes to Piraeus Port.

We were in Athens today. Traffic between Athens and Piraeus was terrible. Athens is very congested. If you pack light, use the train.
