Aunt Karen Posted March 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2006 Has anyone been on this cruise and needed the passport? I was told that we didn't, but not sure if we should go for it?
tomc Posted March 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I don't think you need a passport at this time, but others might know more than I. However, when I was doing a back-to-back (Boston, Montreal, Boston), I went for a walk in Montreal and a local guard at the dock insisted on seeing a passport. In my opinion, and from my experience, the officials in Montreal can be real stinkers when they want to. Also, in the opinion of many people, a passport is always the best way to travel and it will soon be required for all trips, so my advice is to get one; it's good for ten years and you will never look younger than you do now. ;)

CruisingAlong4Now Posted March 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2006 Your US passport is the best ID you can have even if it's not yet required. And if you don't currently have a passport, get one now. They are good for ten years and you'll always be ready for a short-notice adventure!
