Galveston for a day

Our cruise returns on a Monday, and we fly home from Hobby on Tuesday afternoon.  We are thinking to hang around Galveston for the day and night, heading to the airport midday on Tuesday.  So far, not finding any rental car options that work (Enterprise won't do the drop off at Hobby).  Any one have thoughts that would make this plan work?

Galveston isn't that big so Uber or Lyft might be a reasonable option. Maybe pick a couple of things you'd like to do during the day like shopping on The Strand, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier. Maybe pick a hotel near a couple of decent restaurants that are within walking distance. If you do Uber, you're most likely never going to be more than 10 minutes from where you want to go so it shouldn't be too costly. Finally, Uber to the airport. Hope this helps. Good luck.
