Easiest Transportation in Miami for Family of 5?

Recommended Posts

We are staying for 2 nights (precruise FOS) at The Courtyard South Beach Miami and would like to know the best way to get from Airport to hotel, then to Port, etc. Do any of the cabs hold 5 people or should we get a towncar/limo in advance? Have only been to Port Canaveral so totally new to Miami....any help would be appreciated..

BTW, my kids are teens and up so no car seats needed.

Thanks.

At the airport "minivan" type taxis are available. When enroute to your hotel ask cab driver for business card so you can call and request minivan from hotel to port.

It cost us $32 for a minivan taxi to our hotel in Miami Beach, about the same for the cost from the hotel to the port. We were on North Miami beach.

Taxi's were very easy to grab right outside of baggage claim.

Same upon the return trip to the airport, lots of taxi's waiting outside the ship, many 15 pass vans. $9 per person to the airport. We found it very convenient and did not have to wait but a few minutes for the van to fill up.
