Just had to cancel my initial booing on a Baltic cruise because of the mass confusion regarding visas...still not sorted out. What are the visa requirements for a South African passport holder residing in Canada on the Baltic Ports.

For best info, ask a smart local travel agent who deals with this kind of thing all the time.

I'm afraid a Canadian travel agent won't know what visas a South African requires, as you've already found. Nationality is what counts, not where you're living now. You have to contact a consulate/embassy for each country you want to enter in order to find out what visas are required for you. Then you have to get the visas... a real headache when travel to several countries is involved, so I'm hoping for you that you don't need visas!

 

You could try contacting the consulates in South Africa, as they would be most familiar with the questions you need answered. Or you could go through the consulates in Canada... here's a link that might help you find them... a good government directory for Ottawa might help also.
