Nitemare Posted April 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2006 For best info, ask a smart local travel agent who deals with this kind of thing all the time. The answers you get here may or may not be good enough for such an important question, why take a chance?
Bluenose Sandy Posted April 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2006 I'm afraid a Canadian travel agent won't know what visas a South African requires, as you've already found. Nationality is what counts, not where you're living now. You have to contact a consulate/embassy for each country you want to enter in order to find out what visas are required for you. Then you have to get the visas... a real headache when travel to several countries is involved, so I'm hoping for you that you don't need visas! You could try contacting the consulates in South Africa, as they would be most familiar with the questions you need answered. Or you could go through the consulates in Canada... here's a link that might help you find them... a good government directory for Ottawa might help also. http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/protocol/Foreign-reps-en.asp Good luck!
