Sorry - still don't understand how best to upgrade!

Hi all,

 

First time cruiser here and I really don't know how to go about obtaining a good deal for upgrading to a balcony from PR in deck 8. Recently contacted TA who is quoting £600!!! How do you guys get the good deals that you are referring to?

P.s - for the record my name is Jo and I am sailing on Voyager of the seas with my husband on 17th July to the Med. Sooooo looking forward to it. Really can't wait!:cool:

 

Your help and assistance would be really appreciated!!! Also, how do you go about this meet & greet? Quite fancy that also..

well, free upgrades are rare and random, so it's best not to count on them. Regarding paying for an upgrade, you should check Royal Caribbean's website every day (as if you were going to reserve the new cabin you'd like) and if the price comes down to a reasonable price, have your travel agent call to make the change.

If the price never drops, you can wait until you check-in at the ship, and then, if it's available, (big IF!) you can upgrade more cheaply at the pier.
