Where and when do you do this.. I am guessing as soon as you get on ship ..but where ? Why is it you need reservations for this one.. ? Thanks!

You can generally make the restaurant reservations at the Front Desk. You don't necessarily need them, but they may be full if you are planning on going at a time that is generally more popular than others. That's why it may make sense to make a reservation even for these restaurants.

La Trattoria (Italian cuisine) is the included, alternative restaurant on the Spirit. You can make a reservation in the main atrium on embarkation day (they set up a reservations desk there). Or you can use your cabin phone. Since it's an included restaurant, it books up fairly fast. It requires reservations because it has fairly limited seating - it's actually part of the buffet, cordoned off every night and converted to La Trattoria.

They usually have a table set up right in the Atrium for reservations while passengers are boarding. Menus are usually available too.

You can also call from your stateroom or one of the housephones (good idea instead of waiting on line if there is one).
