Help with renting a car, which pier?

Hi, I will be in Cozumel on Monday Oct 2nd on the Triumph. From what I am seeing we will be the only ship in that day. If I understand this correctly their are several piers that it could dock at. I want to rent a car at the pier I will be docking at. Can anyone help me with which pier and which rental car company is at that pier. Thanks for your help, Rick

That far in advance, I couldn't begin to tell you which pier you will tie up to. At the present, I believe that only the International Pier is being used for cruise ship docking. By October, more piers will likely be operational.

If you are even thinking of renting a vehicle, then you really should get the Cozumel map from http://www.cancunmap.com It is not only an excellent map of the island, it is a great guide too. It will show you which rental agencies are at which cruise piers.

Alamo and Executive were at the Puerta Maya terminal. We were going to rent from Avis but they were at the International pier. We used Alamo and had no problems.

P.S. Bruce-r is right. Get the map, it's great. I wonder if they have updated it recently. I bought mine a couple of years ago and things have changed a little since then.

I asked them last year and was told they updated it for 2005.
