Time it takes to get off the ship??

Recommended Posts

We are due to arrive in Auckland at the end of our cruise at 7 am. how long does it take to get off the ship? Will we be given breakfast? How does travel to the airport work (we have a package that includes transfers to the airport)?

Our plane doesn't leave until 2.30 pm NZ time - is there anything we can do in Auckland to kill time?? I don't fancy sitting around an airport for hours.

Rach,

Prior to disembarkation you will be allocated a coloured tag, based on the arrangements you have following disembarkation. Because you have pre-arranged transfers and flights with P&O, you'll be allocated to a group associated with your transfer to Auckland Airport, along with other passengers flying out of Auckland that day, so it will depend on flight times etc for all of these passengers. It's highly likely that you'll disembark early and get taken to the Airport and you'll have to wait out there, especially as the recommended checkin in Auckland for international flights is 2-3 hrs

hi,

i think we got back into brisbane at about 4:30 am and from memory they were moving people off from 6:30 onwards. we were all of by about 9:30 as the Star had to be cleaned and ready to leave at 2 that afternoon.

so expect a very short breakfast.

take care,

sam.

Will we be given breakfast?

Sorry, meant to answer that - yes, you'll be able to get breakfast from the lido buffet - they'll open early enough so that even if you are in the first group to disembark, you'll be able to have a feed first.
