gramshup Posted May 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2006 Can anyone just back from Alaskan cruise on Mercury tell me the dress code for dinner on Sunday night. We will miss because of an excursion so don't want to have to pack for that dinner.
frchteaze Posted May 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2006 I don't actually know which night that will be, but we'll be missing at least one night in the dining room too. I'm just getting around it by mixing and matching outfits -- a dressy skirt can be played up for informal nights or played down for casual or a dressy top can be worn with evening pants or a skirt for informal nights or worn with pants for casual. For 7 nights I'm taking 2 formal outfits (one with a skirt I can mix & match for informal nights), one pair of dress pants, one pair of khakis, and 3 nice blouses. (My table mates will be all family or friends-of-the-family, so if they get tired of seeing me in the same thing, oh well! :D )

(whoever is left anyway;) )The cruise began on May 8th and ends this Friday, May 19th...and then the 2nd cruise of the season leaves...of which I will be sailing her then:D and I will be on her for the entire time:D ;)
Happy ks Posted May 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2006 Your port that day is Juneau, with a very late sailaway time, 11pm, right? I would suspect the dinner dress code that night to be casual, with many empty tables.
