robntawn Posted June 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2006 We are due to be in Juneau from 2:30pm-10:30pm while on our Volendam cruise in August. We have booked a ship excursion (Glacier Trek) that leaves at 3pm but doesn't get back until 9:00pm. Are the dining hours extended while in Juneau? I can't remember what it was last year, but if memory serves, we had open seating in the Rotterdam and later dining hours because of the late port time. Bucky3 Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 We were on the Volendam May 17-24. Here's the food schedule for the day in Juneau: Continental Breakfast: 6:00-10:30 AM Buffet Breakfast: 6:30-10:00 AM Lunch Buffet: 11:30 - 2:00 PM Deli & Salad Bar: 11:30 - 5:00 PM Ice Cream Parlor: 11:30 - 5:00 PM, 5:30 - 9:30 PM, 11:00 PM - 12:30 AM !! Gold Rush Dinner: 5:30 - 9:30 PM - Open Seating Asian Late Night Snack: 11:00 PM - 12:30 AM Just copied this out of the daily program. And, though listed as 5:30 - 9:30, in another column it says Rotterdam Dining hours are 5:30 - 8:30 PM for dinner! We ate early each night, so personal experience not applicable here! We've taken four trips to Alaska, and this one definitely had the best weather! Ship, service, cabin (balcony), food was wonderful. Have a great time. We loved the size of the Volendam - especially for this itinerary.
