tatay Posted June 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2006 Family of 4 flying into Orlando 2 days before cruise, should we stay in Orlando or is there something to do in Cape Canaveral. We did Disney & Universal 2 years ago (boys 5 & 14), but can do another day if there is nothing going on at the Cape. Suggestions please. :) FANTASY August 19, 2006 :)
lmondrop Posted June 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2006 You can do the Kennedy Space Center...which the kids would absolutely love and you can always drive to orlando which is only one hour away....
FurryCruiser Posted June 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2006 I agree on Kennedy Space Center... really isn't something to take the youngsters as well as yourselves to. I'd suggest staying in Cocoa Beach (the Days Inn is right on the pier) and there are multiple options for you.
Rare silentbob007 Posted June 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2006 Depends on what you want to do. For "attractiony" stuff, stay in Orlando. For "beachy" stuff, Cocoa Beach would be the best bet.

We plan to use it again in Jan. Kennedy Space Center would be great fun for the whole family. Luv's Crusin'

gfsmith Posted June 27, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 27, 2006 I highly reccomend staying in Cocoa Beach. We spent 9 days here before our Disney Cruise. It is just 5 minutes away from the dock. If you ask for a handicap room at the Days Inn they have a full kitchen and a back patio. It is 1 block from the beach and pier. very nice. There is a mall close by and Ron Jons Surf shop is close also. lots of things to do. HTH
