Question about Camp Carnival/Spa Services

My family is sailing on The Glory 7/22. My 7 year old will not want to shop in St. Thomas all day (go figure!) so I was wondering if Camp Carnival is open when the ship is in port? Will they feed him lunch too or will I need to return to the ship? As a back up, my parents will be on the ship but I know he would prefer to be at 'camp'.

 

Also, can anyone give me any info on the spa - is it worth the money and does anyone know which day has the best specials? I know they will be listed in the capers but I'm afraid they will be all booked up by the time I find out.

 

Thanks for any help you can give me on these two items. We are counting the days!!

Spa prices are pretty high, what I recommend you do is take the Spa Tour as soon as you board the ship, they will give you discounts for taking this tour. Someone here has the Price list and will surely posted here. Also the best Spa deals are while you are in port.
