raytownlady Posted July 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2006 We stayed there last year precruise it was nice had just been refurbished to fix hurricane damage. The location is great next door to a Perkins restaurant and a steakhouse. Just a short walk to the water and very close to the Pier.
Rare Lois R Posted July 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2006 Hi:) I met some friends down there yesterday morning and we stayed there. It is a very conveinent location. I agree with the previous poster~plenty of food choices and all within walking distance. My room was clean and the bed was comfy too. We ate dinner on the pier at the Atlantic Grill last night and I recommend it highly. It is one block from the hotel and very walkable. Great views and after dinner you can go to the Tiki Bar located at the end of the pier. I would stay at the Best Western again.:) Oh...it is beachside! bigbratt Posted July 18, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Do they have a shuttle to the port and also can you park your car there for the duration of the cruise? Thanks for any info. Connie
Rare Lois R Posted July 19, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2006 Connie,:) yes, I do believe you can leave your car there while you are cruising but I would call the hotel for a 100% correct answer. Also, I think there is a shuttle service available. I only stayed there Sat night (met friends for the weekend). I would stay there again though:)
raytownlady Posted July 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2006 Yes, several members of our group left their cars at the hotel for the length of the cruise and yes there was a shuttle provided to the port. We were there last year in October so just to be sure, I would suggest you call the hotel to see what their current policies are.
bigbratt Posted July 20, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2006 Thanks Lois R and raytownlady for the replies. I already have reservations but I will call direct and check. Not too late to cancel if they don't. Looks like a nice place in the pictures. Hope you have a great day. Connie
