beachmama17 Posted July 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2006  Help!! Any tips for cruising with 2 teenagers. Any other families w/teens cruising on the Inspiration? Let me know. It's our first time on a cruise and hope to keep the teens happy. Any shore excursions suggested for Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Cozumel ruins and shopping are what we are interested in doing. Rare Host Kat Posted July 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2006 Howdy beachmama17! Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Help Forum! I fully understand your need to know more information. However, you have posted on the Help Forum where members find information about the board's software and how to use it. This is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic here. To help you out and per the Guidelines, I am moving this thread to the Family Cruising Forum where it will be on topic. I feel your fellow Cruise Critic members will be able to help you there. I see you have already posted on the Carnival Cruise Line Forum and have some replies. For even more information, you need to research the following forums due to the various topics you mentioned in your inquiries: First Time Cruisers Forum click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=97 Ask a Cruise Question Forum click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=114 Ports of Call - Cayman Islands Forum click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=147 Ports of Call - Cozumel Forum click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=210 Also, you might want to get to know some of the Cruise Critic members that will be on your cruise before you sail. For the Inspiration 8/19/06 Roll Call, click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=383580 Just read through the posts to get to know those that have already posted, limber up your fingers and then make a post with a little bit of information about yourself and the family. I'm sure your fellow Roll Call members will welcome you with replies and you can take your on-line relationship from there. Often, Roll Call members will discuss tips about the ship and ports of call. Also, some plan "get-togethers" on the ship so they can meet face to face or plan tours together. Sincerely hope this information will be satisfactory and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic. Thank you for stopping by the Help Forum! Happy trails to you... Darcy03231 Posted July 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2006 I did this cruise last summer with my teens and everyone had a blast. Make sure they go to the teen meet and greet the first night. My kids choose to do some of the activities, but not all. They made friends and still keep in touch with some of them. Grand Cayman: We did the Stingray Sandbar/Snorkel trip through Soto's Cruises. Had a great time. I would hightly recommend them. Cozumel: We've been here several time and the kids really enjoy snorkeling there. We've also done the the sea lion swim at Chankanaab Park which they really like. We haven't done the ruins so I can't comment there. The only thing I have heard from others that have done it is that it is extremely hot so make sure you bring plenty of water with you.
