earliest debarkation time for Caribbean Princess

From what I remember it started around 8:40.

It is according to color tags and numbers. For example we had Aqua 2... Some aqua #-s were called before and after us. We didn't have an early flight and were in inside cabin on Dolphin (9th) deck. Our number was called between 10:00 and 10:15.

so if you were at the airport at 9:30....what time do you think the earliest was that Princess let passengers leave the ship ?

First public announcement about disembarkation was around 8:40 - 8:45. (First colour called)

What is your flight time?

Disembarkation is variable depending upon the number of ships in port, customs requirements of the day, etc.

Generally disembarkation begins around 8:30 at Ft. Lauderdale. I have disembarked as early as 8:05 but as late as 10:15. It is very dependent upon the above factors, absolutely no one leaves until customs is happy.

Once you disembark it moves rapidly to get you to the airport IF you hire a porter as the porters have their own express custom clearance lines that are much shorter. They will also help you get a taxi promptly. DO NOT use the ship sponsored buses if you need to be to the airport rapidly, as they are much slower to leave the area.

The first ship day, go to the purser's desk and tell them of your early disembarkation needs. They try to accomodate as much as possible.

I haven't been on a Princess ship since 2001, and don't really remember how all this works.

We plan on driving to the port (we're locals). Do they specify a time when you have to leave? For example, if your color is called at 8:30 AM do you HAVE to leave then, or is that just the EARLIEST you can leave? I'm just wondering if we would have to sit around waiting for our color, or if we would be able to have breakfast, etc.
