What to do other than the beach?

We will be in Cozemel in December. DH and I are not really interested in going to the beach. What is there to do other than the beach or swimming. We thought we would do some shopping and see the local sights. Is there anything that is a must see?

This List might be helpful for you. I'd get the Cozumel map from http://www.cancunmap.com, rent a car, and drive around the island. I'd include a stop at Coconuts, Cozumel Mini-golf and maybe either the museum or the ruins a San Gervasio.
