For those wondering about air impacts, the Alaska sailings from Vancouver for Saturday August 12 went out as follows Zuiderdam 5:00 scheduled, around 8:00 actual; Sapphire Princess 5:30 scheduled, around 6:15 actual; Summit 5:45 scheduled, around 6:15 actual. HAL clearly held back but the other two delays are not that unusual here. The Zuiderdam was stepping on the gas going by Point Atkinson (outer harbour), the turn of the tide at Seymour Narrows (upper Vancouver Island) is 2:47am tonight.

Thankfully the cruise lines right now realize that many people are having air tranportation problems with they booked their flights on their own or through the cruise line.
