What is a DH?

What is a DH? I'm a 20 year vet of the internet and active in online forums forever, but I've not seen it used in this context anywhere else. It appears to mean, spouse, husband, wife, or partner, but I can't come up with a logicial acronym. Dumb Husband?

For me it's Dear Husband, but for some, it may be your suggestion of Dumb Husband! (I've had one of those too!!):D

I'd thought I'd seen it used in the context where I would expect a husband, or wife, but I could be wrong.

I would have thought OH for OTHER HALF.

dear, dumb, damn, and other words fit the "D"

add to that the H = husband

W= wife

S = son (or sister)

D = daughter

BIL = brother in law

SIL - sister in law

M or F IL = mother or father in law

SO = significant other

As in, when DH sat up every night until 4 a.m. the first week of our recent cruise, marking papers and emailing the grades back home, he was definitely not "dear" husband!!!! :p
