Sov of Seas Embarkation ?

Just printed my cruise e docs & it says not to get to the pier before 2PM. This is different than all of the other cruises I have been on (DCL, Cnvl & RCCL) where boarding begins around noon & one can eat lunch on the ship (x for my VOS cruise out of Cape Liberty, where the the time was 5 PM). When do they start boarding and is lunch available?

Hi - we've boarded as early as 11:15 on the Sovereign, and lunch is usually available around noon. The cabins aren't ready until 1 p.m or so, but there's plenty of exploring to do while you wait. Have a great cruise.

All the cruise info says that! Don't listen!!!! As soon as the ship is emptied of previous merrymakers, they will allow the new batch to start boarding!

The welcome aboard feeding frenzy is from 12:00 to 3:45 (so sayeth my cruise compass) and since the rooms aren't available until 1 I wouldn't board until 12:30. You can go earlier and see if the cabin steward will let you leave your carryon in your room. The bars open at 11:00.
