Dawn Question?

they do have a cigar bar on many ships. Maybe in there! But I do seem to remember that they said "no smoking" anywhere on the ship due to fed. regulations. It's a big danger... fires on board.. more than any other. They (the smokers) are the ones that should be able to tell you though. IT makes me think they MUST let you in the cigar bar. OR what.. you just suck on 'em in there??

Now you have ME wondering..

HEY SMOKERS!! Where AAAAAAAAARE you?!?! Yoo hoo!

:o

We Are Going On The Dawn In January From New York Do They Allow Smoking On The Ship In Certain Areas? I Know On European Cruises They Don't Sell Cigarettes On Board Due To Some Regulation.

Here's a link to a good CC article concerning the smoking policies on cruise lines:

http://www.cruisecritic.com/features/articles.cfm?ID=225

With regard to NCL specifically, here's what the article says:

"There are no non-smoking cabins. Smoking is permitted in designated areas in the bars and outside on open decks. All other areas on board NCL's ships are non-smoking."

We just got off the Dawn last Saturday and they have smoking everywhere actually. I mean they smoke in the casino, at the bars, at the pool, at the tables around the pool and on the deck.

I was really surprised by how many people were smoking. And yes on the balcony too!

Hope this helps.

Yes but normally on the port side only at the pools , same for the Bars , and open decks. I believe the Star Bar and the bar in Salsa are non smoking.

Not everywhere - not in the halls, not in the dinning rooms but yes all cabins are smoking optional and that incldes the balcony cabins.
