chitown cruisers Posted September 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2006 We are cruising on the Miracle in December...This is our 1st cruise! What companies can we book excursions thru besides Carnival? When can you book these?Any suggestions? Reviews? All help is apprecieated! We are going in 3 weeks and most of our group is with Yhony at cavetube.com in Belieze and Mobydick tours in GC for the stingrays, and there are other individual bookings and most have been made for months. Check out the Misfit tracker button at my site...it'll give you more of an idea.
shugzie Posted September 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Capt'n Marvin in Grand Caymen is also a very good company to use for the sting ray excursion
mrp6767 Posted September 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2006 We went on the Miracle on 8/20/2006. In Belize we went with cave-tubing.com. This is a great option. They were half the cost and it was a great time. In Grand Cayman we went with Captian Bryant's.... The sting rays were fun... don't be scared. dck12ga Posted September 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I guess I would go to the port forum and check out what everyone is saying about each port. We are sailing the Miracle in Feb. and we are not booked yet but probably Cave tubing in Belize with Nacho, Costa Maya a beach day, Cozumel another beach day, and GC Sting ray with Captain Marvin, You can google these places and each port also. That is half the fun!! :D
AppleValleyCruisers Posted September 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Mrs T- As the poster above suggested, I found a ton of subjective information on the port of call boards. Just as an FYI, we used Island Marketing ltd for all our excursions except cave tubing, which we did with Cave-tubing.com All parties were great to work with (particulary Yhoni for the cave tube). Have fun deciding:)

You will love Yhony's tour group~ We did it back in March and they took GREAT care of us!!!!!:D Beware~The rainforest water is as cold as a witches BLEEP... We had fun though and the cashew wine was yummy ;)

01Sweetpea Posted September 7, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I agree with the others, check the port of call boards. However we did: Captn Bryan in GC Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel Altun Ha & River Wallace in Belize THRU Carnival.
toz Posted September 7, 2006 #10 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I booked all excursions through Carnival. Our bus returning from the Mayan ruins in Belize 'broke down" and we were late for sail-away. Since we booked through CCL, the ship waited for us. I really enjoyed the cooking class/lunch on the beach in Cozumel Have fun: it's a great cruise. AppleValleyCruisers Posted September 7, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 7, 2006 The rainforest water is as cold as a witches BLEEP... -KBfromNC The cave tubing water is really cold? Do you mean like spring fed? Not freezing cold, but not bathwater either. I think the reason it seems a little chilly (at least at first) is that you've just finished walking through a tropical rainforest... perhaps "refreshing" is a better word;)
cruzn buckeye Posted September 7, 2006 #12 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Just back from the Miracle.... We did cave tubing with Yhony at cavetubing.com We had an awesome time! They take great care of you...we even had an 80 year old woman on the same tour as us! They carried her piggy back style part of the way! I would definetly go with them again! In Grand Cayman, the highlight of our cruise was the tour that we did with Nativesway.com We did the Reef, Rays, and Rum Point tour. There were only 11 of us on our boat. I got to drive the boat!!!!! They also let some of the kids that were on the boat with us drive, and also one of the men, Mike got to drive it! We had so much fun....First we snorkeled over the reef, then we swam with the Stingrays, then we were taken to Rum Point for lunch and beach time! It was $60pp and included everything above. A great price for a three-stop tour! I will definetly use them again! They also had a videographer...I probably spelled that wrong...that taped the whole thing... We ordered our dvd of our trip...it was $60 ... we can't wait to get it! It will be a beautiful reminder of a perfect day! Cruzn
