Free ferry to Pussers?

Has anyone information about the complimentary ferry at Pussers at Marina Cay? Do you catch the free ferry at the Pussers in Road Town? What about the idea of renting a Boston Whaler at Marina Cay for a short ride to snorkel?

(see below for an explaination of what I am referring to.)

This info was on the Cruise Critic destination site:

"Off the eastern tip of Tortola, tiny Marina Cay offers a vest pocket-sized beach, Pusser's restaurant and company store, small resort, marina and a handful of shops and an Internet Cafe.

Getting There: A complimentary daily ferry service is operated by Pusser's between Beef Island, Tortola and Marina Cay. The trip takes less than ten minutes. For schedules call (284) 494-2174.

Ashore: Pusser's operates a resort, shop and restaurant here. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m.daily and serves the usual Pusser's fare at prices ranging from $5.00 through $21.00. The resort's marina also has small outboard motorboats, Hobie Cats and beach toys for rent. Try renting one of the Boston Whaler skiffs for a five-minute scoot across the bay to tie up at the mooring over the lush snorkeling reef."

The Pusser's ferry to Marina Cay does not leave from Road Town, it runs from a dock at Trellis Bay, Beef Island. this is a short ways from the airport.

Marina Cay does have a company store, a bar/restaurant and small resort. The handful of shops and internet cafe mentioned are all in Trellis Bay and you do not need to take the ferry. I have never seen the boat rentals mentioned but that could be something new. There is a reef around much of the island. I have not tried to snorkel there, a lot of it looks much too shallow for that but I'm sure there are places where you can do it.

Here is a link to a photo of Marina Cay I took from the air.

I have a number of photos taken on Marina Cay in my albums on Webshots.
