Anyone ever cruised with Meniere's Disease?

My mother has Meniere's and she loves to cruise. There was one time that she was unsteady but so was everyone else! Does your MIL take Antivert? If so that is the best medication for seasickness. One bit of advice is that I always adjust the shower head so that she does not have to bend her neck.

If you have anymore questions let me know!

I have minieres and have been on about 10 cruises. I have not noticed any major problems. Just tell her to be very aware of any dizziness and to go take her medication AS SOON as she feels it may be starting. Once in a while I may feel myself getting a little dizzy feeling and I go immediately and take motion sickness meds or anit-vert (a pres. med. that the dr. gives me for vertigo). The important thing is to stop it as soon as it starts so you can keep it under contol. Usually the motion sickness meds they have on the ship take care of mine, but that doesn't happen very often.
