Walk To the Beach?

Morning fellow cruise lovers! Did the doc dance this week-taking 6 of my girlfriends from work on their first cruise 11/3 (3 night Sovereign).

We are staying the night before at the new Residence Inn at Port Canaveral and I'm wondering how close to a public beach access will we be? They have never seen the ocean before and I thought what a cool way to begin the trip-early morning coffee on the beach (we are all early risers):)

Any tips or hints will be greatly appreciated!

I think it is about 3 miles from the closest beach.

If you're not renting a car, take a cab (or two!) or public transportation (if any). I think it is a lovely idea and you should get there somehow, some way. We are fortunate enough to live close enough to the ocean to do this many times on Sunday mornings. We can never get enough of the ocean.

Have a fun cruise :)

Hadn't stopped to think about that one! You are correct though. There is just something to be said though for sitting on the sand catching the sunrise over the water.

Almost makes me wonder if I shouldn't change our ressies to an oceanfront hotel.
