We are going on the Valor with a group of about 5, 30 year old couples in May.

I haven't been on Carnival since 1995, but have been on many NCL, Celebrity, Windstar, Star Clipper cruises.

Tell me everthing about the Valor, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Any and all info would be helpful.

We loved the Valor! Great itinerary (Belize, Roatan, Grand Cayman, Cozumel). We had a blast every night in the piano bar with Ron Pass.

Would consider doing the exact same cruise again in the future.

Don't remember anything bad about this cruise!

Feel free to visit our group forum; the scuba cruise aboard the Valor is leaving this December, but we have compiled a ton of information at that site that might be helpful. If you're not a diver, some of it won't apply to you. We have cruise reviews, links to pictures, virtual tours, ext. there. Do a search if you know what you are looking for, or simply browse.

Another good place to go is to CruiseClues.com - to the Valor site:

You'll have more information about the Valor than you'll know what to do with!

Good luck.

I would second this...we sailed the Valor in March, and did the same itinerary. If Ron Pass is still on the Valor, you have to go see him. He is great. He really drew in a nice crowd, and everyone was having fun.

We were scheduled to go to Costa Maya instead of Cozumel, and due to bad weather that stop was cancelled. Even that did not make it a bad cruise. We had an extra day at sea.

One suggestion for Roatan Bay, we booked online with Victor Bodden tours. We had a private tour guide who would take us anywhere we wanted to go. It only cost us $25 per person plus tip. Our guide Julio was great. He spoke and understood English, so we had no problems communicating with him. We went to the iguana farm, the Fantasy Island resort, and shopping. We could have gone to the beach if we wanted.

I think you will love this ship and itinerary.:p
