Louise922 Posted October 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2006 We're considering taking a 9 night cruise in the summer of 2007 on the Crown Princess. How are the activities for Preteens?
Jacqueline Posted October 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2006 How old are they ? This is the toughest age group, from my experience. The group tends to be 8-12 and an 11/12 year old will not be happy unless a few kids in their age group show up at the club. An outgoing child will find friends at the pool. In any event all my kids have enjoyed all the cruises regardless....
Cruisin' Chick Posted October 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2006 If you're talking about June through August, there should be a good number of kids your child's age. And when there are plenty of kids, there are plenty of activities. My girl was in the 8-12 group on her last cruise (she was 8) during winter break. The kids seem to be enjoying themselves with games, arts and crafts, movies, and PS II (we don't have any Playstation, Xbox or the like at home so my girl migrated to the PS, I'm sure). canadiangirltoo Posted October 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2006 We're considering taking a 9 night cruise in the summer of 2007 on the Crown Princess. How are the activities for Preteens? We just came home yesterday from the CB with two girls, ages 9 and 11 and they had a blast. There are programs for the kids throughout the day, from 9 am-12 pm, 2-5 pm, and 7-10 pm. My girls went to every single one - they had SO many things on the program, I was really impressed. During the week they can win medals for different activities and at the end of the week there is a prize for whoever won the most medals. On formal nights, they had a buffet set up just for the kids where they ate with the youth staff. Your kids will have a great time!:)
