Domster Posted November 4, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted November 4, 2006 I figured that should be done, but typically we tip 20% when dining in a fine dining establishment ...... I gather David's qualifies as fine dining.
MrPete Posted November 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Tip is included, but they do leave a line there if you wish to tip extra. We do not.
Domster Posted November 4, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Last time we sailed, jackets were required. But, heard they have relaxed that rule and only require jackets on the formal nights ..... can anyone confirm this?
MrPete Posted November 4, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 4, 2006 I figured it was smart casual, so when I was making my reservations, I asked what would be appropriate. I was told what I was wearing was fine (dockers and a sport shirt). And that's how I went (non formal night).
dan40 Posted November 4, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Years ago, when alternative restaurants first started on cruise ships, it was made clear that the small [$5.00]charge was only for the tip. Now the charge includes the tip. If you find the service extraordinary, you could add a little to the total. I've only done that once. Dan
