Comfortable Beds?

In the past 10 years, we have only cruised Carnival. I know that some love CCL and some love RCCL. I don't really care. To me,a cruise is a cruise and I will love it when I cruise on the Mariner.

However,I have a pretty bad back and sleep on a Sleep Number bed at home. Carnival's beds (recently) have been great. I am a little worried after reading some reviews about the beds on RCCL. Are they really like sleeping on a cot? Please let me know if you have experienced both and what your opinion is.

If Mariner hasn't had the bed change by then, write and e-mail to RCCI's Special Needs department (you can find the e-mail on RCCi's webpage) and request an egg grate mattress pad for your bed!

The Mariner is not due to get her new bedding until April. The old beds are not that good but usually after a couple of nights I get used to it. I am usually so tired that the floor would feel good.:)

Yep, if use to a sleep number bed, no matter the number (in a 75 / 45 relationship :) ) go with the egg crate to help if new bedding not yet on board

The beds aren't superplush, but they will do. It seems after a day with the salt air infusing your lungs, and the food and drink, even a cot would be more than sufficient!! The eggcrates won't really improve the "lay" of the bed, but it will make it feel softer, if that's what you're looking for.
