Century Meets "Horizon" in Livorno

While in Livorno on a recent Oct. 6th Mediterranean cruise, I snapped this picture of Horizon aka Island Star docked next to my beloved Century.

Last time I met Horizon was during the cruise on Carnival Liberty in Freeport, Bahamas... 11/05 in drydock , when it was changing into "Island Star".

Love your picture. I too have been on both ships, and was on the Constellation when the Hoizon was being towed into dry dock. Many of the crew from the Connie were out taking pictures as it went by. Some were previous crew members. Seven days and counting until I'm back on the Century. Can't wait.:rolleyes: :cool:

Thanks for the picture. Bittersweet moment, I'm sure, for all those who loved "Horizon." I never had the good fortune to be on either, but can sympathize with the sadness of a beloved ship sailing under a new name.

Thanks for posting this picture. Century was the first cruise that we took with Celebrity while Horizon has been our last cruise as of yet. We'll be in Livorno (Millie) next year.

 

We really enjoyed our cruise aboard Horizon and were sad to see her go.....
