jcriticl Posted November 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Need clarification, please... If I book online, then later on see that a more desirable cabin within the same category is available, is there any fee to change cabins? (I realize if the price in that category has gone up, I'd have to pay the difference.) Can you do this past the penalty phase? And is true that as long as I cancel my cruise (heaven forbid!) more than 60 days prior, I can get a total refund? Thanks! :D

Each TA has different policies... if you are booking with Carnival directly, shouldn't be a problem...
jcriticl Posted November 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Sorry, specifically I meant booking online at the Carnival site -- Glad to hear there's no fee for a cabin change and a full refund 60+ days prior to sailing!
mrdood Posted November 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Just so you are clear 61 days is ok for up to a 5 day cruise, on the 60th day you are in penalty phase, it is is 76 days for cruises 6 days and longer, 75 days and you are in the penalty phase. victory2020 Posted November 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I'm sure I already know the answer to this..... if you pay for your cruise 60 days prior to sailing, then notice the next day the cruise the week after is cheaper, can you switch sailings without penalty? tracyvansmith Posted November 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I had to switch my cruise to the week earlier on the same ship for the same price after penalty time.:( I had to talk to a supervisor at Carnival. She waived the penalty charge,:) but I was charged $50 per person the same as if it was a name change. Best bet is if you booked through Carnival, call them and talk to a supervisor.
