I was wondering if there is enough to do close to the cruise terminal. Hubby and I are just looking to relax and we are not sure we want to do a organized tour. Is there shopping and pretty areas to look at close to the terminal where the cruise ship lets you off ?

As long as you're not interested in going into the water, I think you could easily be satisfied by a day in Philipsburg and on the Boardwalk and Great Bay Beach.

There are plenty of restaurants and beach bars, chairs and umbrellas for rent, and the best shopping in the Caribbean.

It's just a short walk, cab or water taxi ride away from the cruise facility.
