mitaxi Posted December 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Looking for anyone who has stayed here... the reviews are not very favorable....but location is good...and price not bad...and because my cruise was booked with short notice.....is this worth it for one night? lmondrop Posted December 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2006 I've stayed in the IC twice for one night. Both times I enjoyed my stay very much and got a massage dowstairs in the spa. I live here as well so I do frequent the area often as I live only 5 mintues away from the IC. The second time we stayed we did get a smoking room and the smell of cigarettes was OVERWHELMING...but I requested a room change for a non-smoking room and had no problems after that. 2guysiowa Posted December 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2006 I checked in for 20 minutes and then checked out and went to the Hyatt. Thank God for Credit Cards. I stayed in nicer tents then this hotel. It was gross would never ever want my worst enemy to stay there. I think the place should be torn down. I'm from Northern Minn and the nicest hotel we have here is the super 8. It made the super 8 look like a five star hotel. Everything was nasty and run down. Never stay here ever. I payed 140.00 on priceline for this and I payed 175.00 for the hyatt. GO FIGURE
mitaxi Posted December 11, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Thanks for your honesty... have to find a hotel for February...not much left.. and very high prices... might consider staying out near the airport ...coming in one day early, and don't fly in till 3... signman Posted December 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Not many reviews on this place, because no one has lived to tell the tale. Go elsewhere.
mitaxi Posted December 11, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted December 11, 2006 LOL...I did find a Marriott near the airport...free shuttle to them then will pick up a cab in the am to the port....porbably a better idea. ALthough I had wished to stay close to port..the choice of living to tell about it or $300 + for a room wasn't working
willysgrandma Posted December 11, 2006 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Did you check the prices for the Hyatt? Or perhaps go to priceline and request a 4 star hotel in that area.
mitaxi Posted December 11, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted December 11, 2006 the biggest problem now is that most of the down town hotels are sold out...
