Why do you love Cruising So Much?

One of my reasons for cruising (over land based) NO CELL PHONE! Yeah I know they can work on many ships now, but dont tell my employeers that.

Cruising isnt for some people for many reasons. But if you had a blast, after #2 you start to see ways to cut costs and have just as much or more fun. Any vacation is what you make of it.

We have a lot of people at work that do that every day...

Shh!

I love cruising because it calms me, it seems to relax me when I watch the sun rise and set over the ocean, I too can sit and watch the ocean for hours. I also enjoy doing nothing and letting myself being taken care of by others....After all that is what Vacation is all about and that is what I pay for when I pay for my familys cruises :)

Addicted to cruising

next time bring your own bottle or restrict yourself...

Restrict yourself??? ROFLMAO!! Not this chickie!! It's vacation :D No restrictions!!! My bar bill is typically twice that amount, and I'm still not thinking restrictions (perhaps my liver is, but that's a different story! LOL!) but it's vacation so I usually don't sweat it... but the word restrict and vacation don't go together :D

And THAT is one of the reasons I love cruising!!! I can do as little or as much as I want to do... cruising with my Cruise Critic friends, making a lifetime of memories!!!! Getting up early in the morning for mimmies and mary's, without a care in the world!!! Staying up til the wee hours and laughing our heads off at the pizza bar at 3am... the sound of the ocean, the sunsets at sea... not worrying about what time it is when I order that first cocktail :p Not having to cook!!! Not having to grocery shop, work, worry, etc. NO TRAFFIC!!!!!! No phone, no TV (at least for me :D)... just relaxing on a ship!! LOVE IT!!!

So far I have had only 1 cruise and it was the best that vacation that I have had. So now I count the days to may next cruise and part of the fun is the planning of the next one. I like the fact that I don't have to drive any place and I don't worry about anything well maybe except the drink of the day. And another thing is up until now cell phones didn't but I not going to tell my boss that one. I so hooked on cruising that I'm planning another cruise a 1 year or 2 out

How else could I go to 3,4, or 5 different islands or countries on one vacation.... never have to repack, relocate or even bother with anything ... just enjoy the transportation......:D

My next one I will do SanJuan, Antiqua, Tortolla, Nassau and St. Thomas all in 8 days and never have to change hotels.;)

It's easy and it's cheap!

We took a 10 year hiatus and travelled extensively going to Europe several times, and out to California, down for Florida and other fly/getaways.

Then in August we cruised with our children (older) and we all LOVED it. Where else can 5 people go where there's so much variety during the day and activities at night? There really is something for everyone.

In fact, we liked it so much we took another cruise two months later--just the 2 of us. And now we're looking forward to getting out of New England in February.

Then we will probably take a break from cruises and do other travel. Our next cruise will most likely be the Mediterranian.

Whatever floats your boat!

When I cruise in 38 days, my cell phone stays behind in the car!:)

I was on this cruise as well as my first cruise, and I wouldn't go back. I wonder if we had a dud cruise, what entertainment there was show wise, was good, but there wasn't a lot to do. It was cold and windy on deck, most of the bars and public rooms inside were taken up with private parties. The food was mediocre to bad and the cabin service was so-so. I was wondered if part of the problem had to do with the seas being so rough that even the crew was sick. I have no plans to go on a Carnival cruise ever again.

For me I'm sure it's just because it's so much fun. Not to mention all the good food and drinks. The sun, the warmth, the great staff and wonderful ports of call. Last but not least all the great friends you can meet, most of them from right here on Cruise Critic. Life it good! :)

Why do I like cruising so much? That's easy:

It's a great way to meet chicks and I can show off my '69 Black GTO. Oh wait. You mean on the ocean?? Oh.

Uh, so my DW can spend all the money I had earmarked for the casino (she made me say that - ouch! I'm sorry honey, just kidding - no, I wasn't serious about the meeting chicks comment. What do you mean, you're going to make me sell my GTO and buy a minivan? More later.)
