Which Day To Put Up Decorations?

Carnival gives you the option, when decorating someone's room, of the day you would like the decorations to be put up. For those of you who have purchased the Carnival decorations for either a birthday, wedding, anniversary, did you all choose to have the decorations put up upon embarkation?

 

My only concern with that is that the decorations are not ready when we board the ship....or even worse, that they would arrive as the decorations are being put up.

 

Any thoughts?

Maybe have them put up on the night of "captains's night" since the night is a specical night that would just be the icing on the cake (kind of like prom night) LOL! anyway just an idea!

We ordered decorations two cruises. We are also one of the first people onboard. You are asked to stay out of the cabins until 1- 1:30

Both times the decorations have always been up.

For the money you pay-- get it decorated for all week.

 

You can also order decorations through the Formalities shop that can go up at any time.

I've always had them on embarkation day. Never had a problem. I'm having two cabins decorated on our sailing next week as well.

Wow, they give you an option now? I've always just had them on the first day!! I like having them then, makes it fun when you open that cabin door for the first time :D

Anyone know if there is difference in price$$ if ordered online or from the formalities shop on-board?
