Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted January 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Anyone stayed at either of these places. This is for pre-cruise stay for Friday and Saturday nights?? We have two kids, three and five. We stayed at the Ritz in Oct 2004 pre-cruise, again for 2 nights pre-cruise on 11/2/06 and will be staying there on 3/30/07 pre-cruise again. It's a beautiful hotel, wonderful pool, and fantastic service. It's about a 5 min drive from the airport. The kids that were there seemed very happy and I do know they have the children's program. This next time will be the first time we're bringing the kids with us, but they're 14 and almost 17 so I don't know anything about the stuff for the kids. cruzincanuck Posted January 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Stayed at the El Convento prior to our cruise last week and it is a fabulous hotel. Great rooms, nice restaurants and a great wine and cheese party at 6PM however it caters more to adults. The pool is small and situated on the 4th floor beside a jacuzzi and there are no activities geared towards kids. You may be better at the Ritz Have a great cruise
texancruzer Posted January 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2007 We too stayed at El Convento and loved it . But if a pool and the beach is needed for the kids than I would stay at the Ritz..... We enjoyed exploring Old San Juan for 3 days/2 nights precruise but did not have kids in tow..... and they do not have a kids program.
