cabin question

Recommended Posts

we are booked for splendour of the seas on deck 8 in cabin 8520. we looked at the RCI book and it looks like we'll be right under the pool area. we are a bit concerned that it will be noisey.

has anyone stayed on deck 8 and had any kind of noise problems?

also, we normally take Princess and have always gotten shipboard credits...does RCI give shipboard credits? our travel agent said they don't and that we'll be getting some casino vouchers and a fuit/cheese tray...would rather have shipboard credits!

does RCI take out 10.00 pp each day for gratuity?

Will try to take these one at a time:

We stayed under the pool severa times before and the only time we ever had problems with noice was when we were on the Grand Princess. (could hear them moving the lounge chairs late at night when they were cleaning the deck) Never had a problem on our RCI ships.

With RCI, (the Crown and Anchor is the loyalty program) you will get $100 to $200 off the price of future cruises depending on what level you are.

As for gratuities, RCI offers the option to "prepay" tips and add them to your charges; But you don't have to do that if you would rather pay your tips the way you see fit.

Hope this helps.

I have to ask you. Did the TA tell you who is giving you the cheese/fruit tray, casino vouchers? Unless the TA is giving it to you, RCCL doesn't do that..

Also, unless you are a member of the RCCL Crown and Anchor program, you will not even get a discount coupon book for anything on board. After this first cruise, sign up for it. ;)

You are in a Junior Suite and that does not get perks like higher suites other than maybe robes to wear on the cruise.

Enjoy your cruise on RCCL. They are great. ;)
