OceanFantasys Posted January 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Hi Lisa.. I was just over on the Mexican Riviera board and noticed that you inquired about margaritas last October.. I was wondering if you ever did try the Pipi's that people were recommending.. Were the drinks and food good if you did? Or do you have any other suggestions for PV? We have set up massages at the Krystal but that is all so far. We would like to make it a full day. Thanks, Rhonda
diboja Posted January 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Pipi's is a great place - touristy and on the Beach...South side. We much preferred Cuates Y Cuetes which is also on the Southside on the Beach area. This site which is run by a local in PV gives all the info on PV - restaurants, maps, recommendations, etc.. This site was our "bible" the last few times we went to PV http://www.vallarta-info.com/restaurants.html the PV Scene Forum is great for information and asking questions - run by an ex-pat...the folks on this forum will help out with any questions with regard to Puerto Vallarta http://www.vallartascene.com/pvforum/phpBB2/index.php
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted January 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Actually No, we ended up having a very enjoyable long lunch with a good friend at Blue Shrimp. We were to meet other friends afterward to go for Margaritas but because the 2 HAL ships were on different times it made it hard to get together. But we will be returning to the Oosterdam in 8 weeks so we may just be searching for that great Margarita again. :D
PathfinderEss Posted January 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Best place in PV for margaritas is La Dolce Vita, down town PV. Believe it or not it is an Italian place, they don't serve like nachos, salsa, guacamole or any thing in that direction but there calamari is to die for. We go there every time were in PV. It opens at 12 noon. Has a nice view of the ocean, you can watch the parasailers. Check it out, you will not be disappointed. Oh, the address is Av. Diaz Ordaz No. 674.
