What would be your set of dream excursions??

We are going on a cruise in 9 days (Jan 28) on Carnival. We just booked today, so I do not have a ton of time to research. I was wondering what people loved to do in the following places? Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo? I want to do a zip line tour somewhere, and anything that is fun.

I would really appericate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Cari

I have to be honest. When I cruise to Mexico (especially these three ports) my favorite thing to do is stay on the ship while everyone else goes into port. If you have specific things you want to do like zip lines...go for it! I've sail to these ports twice. I'm not a particular fan of the Mexican culture, so I've gotten off to do some shopping for silver and other items in the jewelry stores (be sure to attend the ship board meetings regarding shopping so you don't get ripped off), but there's nothing like sitting on the pool deck, taking in the sun when the ship is mostly empty. you can also get great deals in the Spa when you're in port. Enjoy your cruise. I'd go back to Mexico in a hearbeat, but mostly for the time on the ship...not the ports of call.

My personal excursion favorites:

PV - Zip line with Los Vernos

Mazatlan - Horsback riding with Randi

Cabo - Catamaran tour of the coast and Los Arcos

My daughters favorite all time - Parasailing in Cabo

My son's favorite all time - Zip line with Los Vernos

My Husband's favorite - zip line with Los Vernos

and riding with Randi

If you want to zip with Los Vernos it's a private tour and you have to book ahead of time and take a taxi to their office. I'm not sure of the web page address but if you google Los Vernos it will come up.

Have fun!

I agree with Mikaula except we did the dolphin swim in Cabo. We've

done Randi's Happy Horses and the Los Veronos canapy tour twice.

In Cabo it's easy to grab a water taxi to take you to Los Arcos

(Lover's Beach) and there's also parasailing at one of the other beaches.

The water taxi guy will be happy to take you wherever you want to go.

They have glass bottom boats so you can see some really cool fish

on the way. The dophin swim may already be sold out but you should

check into it. You need to book it through the ship and if you see an

"encounter" or "swim" offered you want the "swim" so you're actually

in the water with them and the dolphin gives you a ride. I love Mexico.

I read the previous poster preferring to stay on board to take

advantage of the ship's facilities. I do that sometimes when its a port

of call that I've been there several times but I have to say that you

can get some cheap massages on land in Mexico. For example,

in Puerta Vallarta I paid $25 for 45 minutes. It was one of the best

massages I've ever had.
