  1. I’d love a 14 day cruise from Vancouver. I’d also want a balcony so i can understand why you don’t want to wait until less rooms are left. You’ll love Alaska whatever cruise you decide on.
  2. My favorite part about sailing from San Francisco is going under the Golden Gate Bridge. I love being out on deck both leaving and entering the bay.
  3. There’s usually a sign up at embarkation check in windows stating no upgrades available.
  4. I’ve been on the Pearl twice. Love the ship and crew.
  5. I’d call again and talk to someone new. Unfortunately, often times you will get a different answer.
  6. I’m waiting till the CDC announces when cruises are allowed. No reason for me to book unless it’s a for sure thing. I don’t want the hassle of changing booking or trying to get a refund. Too much info is still up in the air.
  7. Our adult son loved the 2nd bedroom. We loved the master and the huge bathroom. Absolutely my favorite cabin.
  8. Time will tell if I’m able to cruise again. I hope cruises start again in the near future! However, I’m in the high risk category so it might not work for me but I hope lots of other healthy people will be able to enjoy cruising again.
  9. We stayed at the Marriott across the street from the dock. We walked over in the morning, dropped out luggage with a porter and checked it. Super easy.
  10. Sad to see ships being beached.
  11. Alaska is amazing! There are lots of excursions that have limited spots available like helicopter and float planes so I usually book as far in advance as possible because they sell out long before you board. That said, in the current situation with Covid I’d wait till closer to your cruise. That way you don’t have to worry about being reimbursed if cruises are cancelled.
