snowman Posted January 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2007 Search again fails. We were on the Sun in Oct. and are going again in March. We walked through a restaurant that had Asian food but thought it was part of the Teppanyaki Grill thing on the way to the steak place. Is that a fee resaurant or a no fee asan restaurant. What kind of menu do they have. Thanks
Retired not Expired Posted January 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2007 Ginza has the Sushi Bar ($12.50) and Teppanyaki ($20.00). You most likely were looking in the Sushi Bar.
fin Posted January 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2007 Last October on the Sun, East Meets West cost forty bucks a couple for steak.
electricron Posted January 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2007 I'm not even sure the Sun still has an East Meets West restaurant anymore. The Sun just got out of dry dock yesterday, and most regulars believe that was a great time to resign and rename it Cagney's Steakhouse. The EMW restaurant has been serving steaks with an identical menu as Cagney's for years.

electricron Posted January 25, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2007 Hey electricon, have you heard of any scheduled drydocks for the american flagged ships? I'd love a hawaii-san francisco cruise The Pride of Aloha had one last year. The Pride of America was going to have one this year, but its dry dock was set back til next year (2008), I don't know when. I therefore don't think the Pride of Hawaii will have its first dry dock until 2009. I believe the Wind will have a dry dock this year, after leaving NCL service, and before entering Star Cruises service. Might as well, as I believe major decor remodelings will occur, and that requires as much time as refurbishing engines and auxiliary equipment. By the way, you can see all the changes Star Cruises plans for the Superstar Aquarius (ex-Norwegian Wind, ex-Windward) at http://www.starcruises.com/Fleet/Aquarius/deckplans.html On Deck 9, The Four Seasons turns into the Buffet, the Le Bistro turns into the Blue Lagoon. On Deck 10, the Casino grows all the way aft, consuming all the bars (Dazzles and Lucky), Photo Gallery and Gift Shop areas. On Deck 11, the topside aft pool turns into the Admiral's Club (yes, they are enclosing it), the old conference rooms turns into the Photo Gallery. On Deck 12, the Observations Lounge turns into a Karoke Lounge and the Sports Bar turns into the Gentling Club. One thing about these changes, no one will be able to say the Buffet is too small anymore. :D For luck, Chinese style, they are renumbering the cabins too, the only 4 you'll find aboard the Aquarius will be on Deck 4, and then only the first number, like 4000, 4001, 4002, 4003, xxxx, 4005, ...., 4039, xxxx, 4050, .... !
