I'm going on a cruise with my mom and my very shy brother who's 10. When he's in AO, is there any way he can contact us or vice versa without us going to AO? I just want him to be able to tell us if he wants to leave or something else without a lot of hassle. I've heard walkie talkies don't work on the ship, and someone said something about ship phones. What are my options and what's the best way?

Walkie-talkies work on a ship; some people just find them annoying.

 

Just a thought, from an experienced Mom: If he doesn't think that he can contact you instantly to "get him out of there", he may try harder to have a good time.
