Aft Questions And Concerns!!

Hello everyone! I have a question about the "aft" or "stern" cabin? My DH and I have booked Freedom of the Seas on April 22. We originally had 6412 booked, but cancelled it because earlier I read negative comments about soot, noise, far walks, ect. Now we have 8662 (lil bit more mid ship). Now lo and behold, 1700 corner became available and I'm torn. I know it won't last long because I also read another thread about how great these cabins are! Can someone PLEASE help???? I have never posted before, but i LOVE this website. You all are so knowledgable about cruising and I have learned so much! Thanks for any help!!

and we were covered in soot & smoke from the funnels. SO TAKE THE AFT! I have never had problems back there ...........

We had a corner aft balcony on the Explorer with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever....TAKE IT if it is available!!! :) The long walk every day will help keep you in good shape!! :D
