UK Pre-Inaugural Liberty invites due out soon

I have just heard back from RCCI UK/Europe and the Invites for the Pre-Inaugurals of the Liberty of the Seas for UK folks should be arriving within the week.

 

The ship will be dockside on the 22nd & 23rd April.

 

Then on 24th there will be a two night sailing...and then she leaves Southampton on the 26th to head over the pond.

 

What happens when the ship is dockside I dont know ???!! But as soon as my invite arrives I will post here the details.:D

2 1/2 months??? :confused: Her inaugural cruise is May 19th.............between the time she leaves Southampton(April 26th) and gets to Miami,she'll be doing short 1,2 or 3 nighters up north and in Miami.............

She leaves England at the end of April and begins a series of pre-inaugural cruises here in early May and then beginas sailing with paying passengers o/a May 19th, so I don't understand the reference to 2 1/2 months. Care to elaborate?:confused:

Has there been any indication whether they will be inviting Diamond Plus members for a "look-see"? We became D+ since Freedom came out, but I understand that they issued invitations to D+ passengers before Freedom's official maiden voyage. I would love to be able to check out Liberty.

bubbie - DP members were invited, starting with those members with the most cruise credits and working their way down. At that time we had 30 cruise credits, and were invited to a Boston pre-inaugural for two nights. We now have 35 cruise credits, and are hoping to be invited again. I know some D+ have over 100 cruise credits, and they'll get the first choice of dates and places, so by the time they get to us, we won't have the same choice. Last time only thing available to us was Boston, but since we live in the Boston area, that was perfect for us.

Wahey!!!!! :D We've just had confirmation by email that we are definately on this cruise and our invite should be here by the end of the month - I am soooooooooooo excited!!!!:D

 

Elizanessie do you know what the schedule is, when it cruises and how long it is for? I'm just very very eager to book my flight then I'll feel like i'm really going (somebody pinch me, am I dreaming)????

Does your email say the 22nd or 23rd ?...mine is for the 23rd.

 

The lady I was chatting with couldnt give me anymore ifno on what happens as she isnt actually involved in the Liberty Project...it was her boss who invited me and he is away on RCCI UK business just now.

 

I keep wanting to book my flight down but until the Invite is in my hand I am just looking at the flights etc.....dont even know if they include airport transfer in the invite....och well we should know more soon.

 

I was concerned at first because my email said....1night Dockside Event....and I was like .....what...dont I get on the ship..??..but its ok we do have one night onboard....but I dont know if it actually leaves the Dockside...and looking at the port schedule it looks like it doesnt..so would that mean the casino cant open.

 

I dont care....I just wanna see the ship and have my meeting with RCCI UK...and see if I can get any info on any changes that might happen with regard UK bookings etc.

My email said for the 23rd April event so my guess was that it was boarding that day for a one night sailing - but I dont know for sure.

 

I have been trying to get more info and rang Crown and Anchor and RCCL today but nobody could answer my question. I've left a message for somebody to call me but as yet I've not heard anything - but hey who cares, we'll find out soon enough and at least we know we're on it - I really cant believe it, i'm soooooo excited!!:D

 

So which operator will you use to fly down to Southampton? I've been pricing up flights from Manchester with Flybe and BA, the cheapest I can get at the moment is with Flybe at £112 for two return which is fab, thats why I'm eager to book as soon as possible before the prices go up.

 

Once I hear anything i'll email you and maybe we could arrange meeting up - that would be really good....:D

Debs ....thats great that we will be on the Liberty at same time :D

 

I looked at flights with BA from Inverness to Gatwick..and I saw some at £75 per person...but until we know more details...as in what time we can arrive/board etc then I am stuck as to what to do...but as you say we will know more soon....maybe we will make a long weekend out of it...my son said he isnt interested in going (he doesnt like dressing up at all) but my mum is like...."oooooohhhh"....she hasnt seen the Promenade etc of the big ships...and I cant wait to see her face.
