Carnival in Hawaii

Is the Carnival Spirit the only Carnival ship to cruise Hawaii? Looking for something in early 2008, and I can't find anything with Carnival. I don't want to have to go over to NCL, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Anyone have any info for me? Thanks.

Yes at this time only Spirit goes Hawaiian 4 times a year (repositioning from California/Vancouver).

We have cruised Hawaii twice over that past 20 years. Once with American Hawaiin Cruise lines and one with NCL. Hawaii was great. Really beautiful. A few years ago we took NCL, Carnival did not have a cruise ship out there. Otherwise we would have taken Carnival. The only problem I do not like about cruising Hawaii is that the casino is not in operation at all. It felt weird to go on this fantastic cruise and then not being able to gamble in the evenings.

We're actually considering that one for a 10th anniversary cruise next year. Not sure we'll like Princess, that small of a ship, or be able to take two weeks vacation at once, but it's definitely in the running. The reviews also seem to lean towards a geriatric crowd so not sure about that either for a couple of active 30-somethings.

Would also love to do the Spirit Hawaii run but would again have to be able to take two weeks off work to do it.

So many cruises and so little vacation time!

Mine is so much vacation time, so little money! :)

You all are killing me, I would love to do a in Hawaii or Europe. The biggest problem is finding someone who has the $ to go with me!

On the Spirit the casino is open when not in port.

So glad to hear that the spirit is open when not in port. Maybe they have changed since we were over there a few years ago. It just felt weird not having a casino open in the evening. If we cruise Hawaii again, we will take the spirit.
