Place to stay in Seward & Anchorage??

Our June 2005 cruise ends in Seward, Alaska. We are going to stay one night in Seward and then go on to Anchorage and spend 2-3 nights there.

Any suggestions on places to stay? Recommendations?

Has anyone stayed at the Oscar Gill House (bed and breakfast) in Anchorage or the Ballaine House (bed and breakfast) in Seward? Any comments?

I can recommend the Harborview Inn in Seward. We stayed there earlier this summer and enjoyed it. Clean, quiet, moderate prices, convenient location.

Yes ... we also stayed at the Harborview Inn in Seward. A little spendy for what your get but clean and comfortable.

Will you have a car in Anchorage??? I highly recommend it and if at ALL possible add days- there is far more to Alaska than 2 days in Anchorage- if you are up to driving I would split it with an overnight in Talkeetna or Girdwood?? Research and determine your priorities??
