onegraham Posted March 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2007 A charming young NCL representative, Megan, said that all "routine engine maintenance" on the Star had been finished and that they would be on their regular ports schedule from now on. We sail on 3/14 and would like to see Acapulco and Zihuatenego. She said they had to slow the ship down to "tune it up" and that's why they had re-done the ports recently. Hopefully, we're good to go... Good sailing to all.
alwzrgt Posted March 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Keeping our fingers crossed that Megan haas more pull than everyone else at NCL! LOL:p Great news - I hope it's for real
onegraham Posted March 8, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 8, 2007 she sounded like she knew what she was spouting and why they did it the way they did. Will be really disappointed in NCL, not Megan, if we change ports or have continuing engine problems if not advised well before.

Didn't I just read on a post today that they have notified the 3/14 passengers that they have changed the ports? No matter where she sails, you will have a great time!:D I have heard through these boards that Acapulco isn't all that! Some people seem to love Mazatlan though! Hope eveyone has a great cruise!:)
rayz Posted March 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2007 Ixtapa/Zhi is the most interesting/scenic port of the bunch. Try not to miss it. Great beaches.
onegraham Posted March 10, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted March 10, 2007 Apparently even NCL's people aren't told timely. Really wanted to see Ixtapa/ Zihua. Return to PV will be lovely too. And just cruising on NCL too.

Thanks in advance from Moab, Utah - a place that you might consider, but far from the oceans, for now.
Ella2 Posted March 11, 2007 #9 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Huatulco is in Mexico, and as the previous poster said, it is a common port stop on many Panama Canal cruises.
