Time for shopping AND excursion??

Take a half day excursion and then go shopping. Or take an excursion that offers shopping along with everything else. Or go to the beach and check out shop there. Eleven hours is a long time to do either.

P.S. If you really like one or the other, then you'd just have to take another cruise back there!:D

11 hours should be long enough for both, but that depends on the length and nature of the excursion and where and how much you want to shop. Some ports are laid out better than others for shopping as well. Just remember that 11 hours in port does not necessarily mean 11 hours for you to do what you plan. You may be delayed leaving the ship in the morning (and the delays can be significant if you're being tendered to shore) and you've got to be back on board 1/2 hour before the ship sails.

As a rule of thumb, I'd figure out which activity is likely to be more tiring and save that for the afternoon.
