can anyone tell me if the Renaissance offers day passes?and where can i get them.

I emailed them from their website asking that question and never got a reply, but I've heard you can go there for $40.

The cost is $50 and children under 12 are free. It includes lunch, 1 drink, all watersports, and access to their private island. I just talked to them on the phone this morning.

I believe you just show up, pay, and play, but the phone number is: 011 (297) 583-6000 and ask for the front office.

I received the following information from Marriott regarding day passes at the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino.

 

"The hotel offers passes to the hotel's private island. The cost is $ 50.00 U.S. per person, which includes the transport to and from the Island, a lunch with beverage and all the non-motorized water sports (including snorkeling, kyacking also access to tennis courts). The shuttle runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every 15-20 minutes from the lobby of the hotel."

The "island" is under the flight pattern for the airport..

nothing to "write home" about...

not picturesqe kind of ho hum

went there when it was "sonesta island"

(renaissance/marriott bought them out)

think you'd be better off doing the 1/2 day excursion offered for DePalm island (all inclusive) or going to Tam or other AI.

Hi everyone, we are planning to go there for the day and I was pleased to see that you can actually get to the private island, it looks lovely on the internet - but then I guess they wouldn't put up nasty photos on a bad day.

 

So - my question is - has anyone been there recently? Done any of the spa packages? Does anyone know what the lunch is like? We are only going to be on Aruba for one day in our entire lives and we are thinking of doing this. Ta, Lyn
