New2Cruisin'07 Posted April 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2007 We are cruising to St Thomas next month. When I spoke to a travel agent the other day, she suggested that when we get to St Thomas, that we catch the $5 ferry to St John. She said that we could then go to 'Bath Beach'. She said that it is a beach inside a cave, and the water gathers in 'warm pools' in the sand. Does anyone know what she might be talking about? I couldn't find anything when I googled it. Nebr.cruiser Posted April 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2007 I've never heard of this on St. Johns, but there is a place called "The Baths" on Virgin Gorda which is a series of caves, tunnels, huge rocks and pools that you can climb through. It's very beautiful and leads to a small beach. I don't think the pools are any warmer than the normal ocean temperature, though. Virgin Gorda is one of the British Virgin Islands, not too far from St. John's, but I'd doubt that you could get there and back from St. Thomas, unless you're in port a long time.
